John Rennie Autograph Note Signed in the third person "Mr. Rennie". One page with address panel and verso docketing, 7.5" x 9", November 18, 1791, likely London, to Messrs. Tinnin & Tartet & Co. A short note regarding materials to arrive via barge. A verso panel, marked by the recipient, attributes authorship to Rennie. Rennie (1761-1821) was one of the pre-eminent civil engineers of his era. He was especially skilled in designing canals, docks and bridges. Southwark Bridge and Waterloo Bridge are among the long list of Rennie's accomplishments. One tiny perforation, area of loss from seal breakage. Very good condition. Lot also includes a 19th century autograph collector's manuscript providing information on Rennie.
