Partly-printed vellum DS as president, signed “J. Q. Adams,” one page, 15.75 x 9.75, May 1, 1826. President Adams grants Dilwin Bales 80 acres of land in Indiana. Signed at the bottom by Adams, and countersigned by Commissioner of the General Land Office George Graham. In very good condition, with intersecting folds, scattered light toning and foxing, and seal cracked and worn, but intact. Adams’s signature is bold and precise.
