In addition to this were 10 artists proofs and 2 Printers proofs. Further proofs of this image (of which ours is an example), in an unspecified print run were made by Curwen Press.<BR>Note: This piece was part of a brochure describing what a l lithograph is and how to commission one. The brochure was entitled Curwen Lithographs for those special occasions" Clytha Castle was built as an eye-catcher from Clytha House in 1790 by William Jones of Clytha in memory of his wife. The architect was John Davenport. Note the stone-faced bank around the north side of the castle. This is a ha-ha, designed to keep out stock, but invisible from the windows of the house, or in this case, castle. Down in the Valley is Clytha House and its park. Clytha was rebuilt by the architect, William Haycock in 1820-22 and is a fine example of the neo-classical style of the period. The Gothic Style gate was designed by John Nash. <BR>Condition: Good "
