Hardcover, 4.75 x 7.5, 74 pages. Signed and inscribed on the first free end page, “To dear Carol Harriman, from John Muir, Los Angeles, April 19th 1909.” Autographic condition: fine, with a mild shade of toning to signed page. Book condition: VG/None. After telling the story of his adventure for over 30 years, Muir finally put it in writing, and considered it one of his most difficult works.
