<B>John Milton, </B></I><B><I>Paradise Regain'd</B></I></B></I> (1713), 388 pages, illustrations, 24mo (5.25" x 3"). Originally published in 1671, <I>Paradise Regained</B></I> is John Milton's "sequel" to his earlier <I>Paradise Lost</B></I>. However, Jesus is the protagonist this time, and his version of the Temptation of Christ was based on the Gospel According to Luke. While he had been criticized for emphasizing mortalism in the earlier epic poem, here he focuses on salvation.
