<B>1930's John McGraw Signed Large Photograph.</B></I> Outstanding studio portrait of this thirty-one year veteran of the Polo Grounds dugout was offered in lieu of payment to an innkeeper in McGraw's hometown of Truxton, New York when McGraw fell on hard times following retirement. The fine photography would stand on its own in a quality New York Giants collection, but the addition of a splendid (9/10) fountain pen inscription at upper right makes this an absolute treasure. It reads, "Yours Sincerely, John J. McGraw." The photo remains in perfect condition in its original wooden frame. Image area is 9.5x13", with final framed dimensions of 15x19". <I>LOA from PSA/DNA.</B></I>
