Produced by John Marts of Lincoln, California, best known for his reconstruction of Luger and P-38 pistols to accommodate more powerful cartridges, such as this example in 38 Super. Blade front and notch rear sights, with the left side of the slide hand engraved with a Walther banner, "P38" and "Martz/ .38 Super No 4", and "Lincoln, Ca./ U.S.A." on the right. The frame is marked with the serial number and "eagle/ 359" proof on the left, with circled "JVM" and "4" on the right side. Barrel lug and locking block are numbered to match the frame, with "eagle/ swastika" firing proofs, "359" on the block and "WaA135" on the lug. Small parts are finished in straw, with ribbed brown grips and "JVM" marked magazine.
