Glossy 8 x 10 Apple Records somber promotional portrait signed in the lower border in black felt tip, “Love & Peace, Yoko Ono,” and “John Lennon.” Accompanied by a certificate of authenticity from Tracks. In very good condition, with a few light brushes to both signatures and sentiment, moderate overall creasing, and edge dings.

John and Yoko moved to New York City in September 1971, around the time this image was taken. They immediately found themselves confronted with fiercely political issues and by January 1972 Lennon found himself under FBI investigation, who hoped to find a way to deport the Rock & Roll legend. Federal agents followed the couple for several months, documenting their lives. Later in ‘72, Lennon released the album Some Time in New York City, featuring songs about women's rights, race relations, the UK’s relation with Northern Ireland, and of course, Lennon's own problem with the feds. Signed photos of John and Yoko are surprisingly scarce.
