John Lennon Twice-Inscribed Photo. This outstanding signed photo has a very intriguing story behind it: In late December 1975, a Philadelphia banker and lifelong Beatles fan wrote a letter to John Lennon. In it, he related the story of a pen pal he had in his youth, a teenage girl and fellow Fab Four fan named Dawn that he corresponded with for several months until her untimely death from an undisclosed illness. He included a copy of one of her letters and requested an autographed photo from Lennon, who in turn sent him this signed photo. The color 8" x 10" features a classic image of Lennon, is signed "John Lennon to Bill" by him on the front in blue ball point, and features the following inscription on the reverse in black ink: "Dear Bill, A lot of water under the bridge, and over the wall! A sad story, love, John." The photo is in Very Fine to Excellent condition with just a little wear, and is accompanied by photocopies of the aforementioned letters. Accompanied by a COA from PSA/DNA.

Shipping: Flat Material, Small (view shipping information)
