New Hampshire’s second governor (1741–1819), signer of the Constitution, and president pro tempore of the US Senate under George Washington. Partly-printed DS, one page, 15 x 12.75, June 18, 1810. State of New Hampshire document in which Langdon appoints Thomas Elwyn “a Justice of the Peace for the County of Rockingham.” Crisply signed at the conclusion by Langdon and countersigned by Samuel Sparhawk.
