State of New Hampshire document in which Langdon appoints Thomas Elwyn “a Justice of the Peace for the County of Rockingham.” Crisply signed at the conclusion by Langdon and countersigned by Samuel Sparhawk. The embossed paper seal affixed to the upper left remains intact. In fine condition, with intersecting folds, some mirroring to ink, and an area of toning from the seal.
