Featured in this lot is a John Krider half-stock, black powder percussion cap rifle chambered in .41 caliber. The rifle was manufactured in America during the mid to late 1800s. The rifle displays a heavy 42 3/4" long octagonal barrel, hardwood stock, brass trigger guard, dual trigger system, and brass stock storage plate. The barrel is marked across the top "KRIDER PHILADA" with the lock plate marked "G. GOULCHER" that includes an etched hunting scene design. The stock displays some light wear from use and a dark paint or tar finish. The rifle shows a nonfunctioning trigger system and percussion hammer. The rifle is in fair condition overall with some wear and rust due to age and use. No Serial Number. This firearm qualifies as an antique and does not require FFL Transfer or NICS Background Check.*
