American army officer (1860–1948) who was Commander of the American Expeditionary Forces in Europe during World War I and one of the most celebrated soldiers in American history. Vintage glossy 4.75 x 3.75 photo of Pershing and Marshall Foch, signed in the lower border in fountain pen. Accompanied by the original mailing envelope, postmarked May 23, 1933. A few light creases and impressions from collector’s notations on reverse, otherwise fine condition.
