'Commonwealth of Massachusetts'' broadside with ''John Hancock'' printed twice, as he was then Governor of Massachusetts. Document is datelined 10 December 1792 from the Council-Chamber in Boston. Partially printed document incorporates the town of Gloucester into the first district of Massachusetts, with ''...inhabitants of the town of Gloucester duly qualified to vote for Representatives to the General Court of this Commonwealth...'' Document on one page measures 7.5'' x 12.75'' with two signatures by ''John Avery'', Massachusetts' secretary of the Commonwealth. Top right corner has been clipped and paper loss along left edge. Very good.
