Document concerns a resolution to send 800 men from various counties in Massachusetts to help repel the British in Rhode Island, ''...as the enemy seems determined to maintain a post in that quarter...'' Bottom of second page contains the printed signature of John Hancock. 2pp. document measures 8.5'' x 14.75''. Wear to edges and along foldlines. Toning throughout and staining to large part of lower right side. Overall, fair condition.
