Heavyweight champion of England (1783-1863), one of the earliest champions in the history of boxing, later a member of British Parliment. Free-franked address panel, trimmed to 5 x 3, addressed in another hand to “Mrs. Fowler, Southwell, Motts,” and dated at the top, “London, March Thirty 1835.” Franked in the lower left corner, “J. Gully.” In fine condition, with some mild toning and soiling, and missing lower right corner tip. Rare in any form. RRAuction COA.
