Four items: a TLS signed "J. H. Glenn, Jr.," one page, 8.5 x 11, personal letterhead, no date, in part: "I am at home but must return to the hospital periodically for checkups. My doctors are the finest, and the various treatments which people have been kind enough to suggest or share with me have been referred to them for evaluation and consideration. It helps a lot to know of the many prayers and religious activities on my behalf and I sincerely appreciate your thoughtfulness," with Glenn adding a handwritten postscript to the upper border; a TLS signed "John Glenn," one page, 8 x 10.5, United States Senate letterhead, August 20, 1976, in part: "With the press of Senate duties as well as the Convention, etc., I am just getting caught up with my correspondence"; a 6.5 x 3.75 FDC with a cachet of a cartoon showing Glenn meeting Caroline Kennedy at the White House, postmarked at Cape Canaveral on February 20, 1962, signed in fountain pen, "J. H. Glenn, Jr.," and in black ballpoint, "Caroline Kennedy"; and an ink signature, "J. H. Glenn, Jr.," on an off-white 4.25 x 3.25 card. In overall very good to fine condition, with light creasing and staple holes to the letters. Accompanied by two original mailing envelopes, and a group of eight color candid photos of Glenn during an interview in Phoenix on February 26, 1983.
