Twenty-six original NASA photos of various finishes, three color, each approximately 8 x 10 or 10 x 8, including one ‘red-numbered’ photo of the Mercury-Atlas 6 liftoff. All photos depict either Glenn or his ‘Friendship 7’ spacecraft, including several of Glenn preparing for the flight and meeting John F. Kennedy and Lyndon B. Johnson. In overall fine condition. Accompanied by a letter of provenance from NASA physical conditioning supervisor Joe Garino, Jr., in which he states that the photos “were personally obtained by me during my years of association with the American space exploration program.”
