<B>John Glenn Typed Letter Signed as Senator</B></I> "<I>John Glenn</B></I>". One page, 8" x 11", on United States Senate letterhead, Washington, D.C., November 6, 1975, to Albert W. Wittnebert, Hasbrouck Heights, N.J. In this letter Senator Glenn gives a mini-history of the space program. He writes in part: "While I am fully aware of the role the "space race" has played in international politics, that purpose has always been secondary to its primary purpose of advancing basic research and gaining new knowledge which can be used to upgrade the quality of all of our lives...". The letter is toned around the edges, else the signature is bright.
