32 1/2" by 29" framed John M. Galvan (Born 1945) is active/lives in Nebraska, Colorado. John Galvan is known for Figure, portrait and animal painting. Born and raised in the small farming community of Kearney, Nebraska in 1945, John Galvan grew up with an appreciation of, his fellow man, thanks to a very loving and close knit family. John credits his father with forming his earliest interest in art. His father would draw horses in a smooth and flowing manner, which he admired and attempted to imitate. After high school there was the Air Force, and John was assigned to be an illustrator and then in 1969 he moved to Denver, where through a friend he became acquainted with Ramon Kelley, which proved to be the turning point of his life. John came to learn both the skill and the marketing technique and found it his opportunity to fulfill and enjoy life as an artist. Adept in pastel, oil, charcoal and some watercolor, John chooses the medium best suited for expression of the subject matter. His still life paintings, wildlife, horses and landscapes allow him further expression and greater use of his talent. Allard Auction Collection Inv: LXT 7201
