Congratulatory telegrams and photographs from the collection of Congressman Ralph Harding, including: a telegram from John F. Kennedy, November 12, 1960, in part: "May I extend to you my congratulations and best wishes as you prepare for a new term in office. For your dedicated and generous assistance in my campaign I am deeply grateful. Your continued help and guidance in the challenging months ahead will be vital as we work toward achieving the many goals that command our attention"; a telegram from John F. Kennedy, November 7, 1962, in full: "Heartiest congratulations on your victory. With a strong Democratic Cong committed to progress I am confident that we will meet the needs of today and of future generations"; a telegram from Ted Kennedy, November 10, 1960, in full: "My warmest congratulations on the wonderful victory you so much deserved and the splendid vote of confidence in your integrity and ability which your constituents have given you." The three original vintage glossy photos, all showing Harding meeting with President Kennedy about flood assistance in eastern Idaho in February 1962, range in size from 8.5 x 6.5 to 10 x 8. In overall very good to fine condition, with the corner tip missing from one photo.
