TLS, one page, 6.25 x 9.5, United States Senate letterhead, March 23, 1954. Letter to a concern constituent concerning the planned cut to US tariffs five percent each year for three years. In full, “Thank you for your recent letter concerning the tariff situation as it affects the woolen textile industry. I have had many inquiries from people interested in this industry and I have, therefore, prepared a statement which sets forth my views on many issues raised in connection with the industry. As you know, I am doing all that I can to aid the economy of New England and will assist the woolen textile industry in any way that I possibly can.” In fine condition, with a couple of extra horizontal folds, and a mild shade of toning. Accompanied by a carbon copy of the letter sent to Kennedy two weeks earlier. Pre-certified John Reznikoff/PSA/DNA and RRAuction COA.
