Scarce partly-printed DS as president, one page, 23 x 19, March 21, 1961. Kennedy appoints Richard James Murphy to the position of Assistant Postmaster General. Signed at the conclusion in black ink by Kennedy, and countersigned by Postmaster General J. Edward Day. In very good condition, with light overall brushing to Kennedy’s signature, some slight damp staining along bottom, mild wrinkling, and thin toning along extreme edges. The bright gold foil seal is crisp and intact. Kennedy presidential appointments are quite uncommon.
