A trio of items: an FDC, bearing a cachet honoring the legislative branch of government, signed under the First Day of Issue stamp, and eerily postmarked November 22, 1950, in blue ballpoint by John F. Kennedy; a White House card, signed in ink, “Jacqueline Kennedy”; and an FDC with a collector’s hand-sketched cachet depicting Jackie Kennedy with her children at the funeral of her husband and their father, John F. Kennedy, signed in ballpoint by Caroline Kennedy and John F. Kennedy, Jr. All three are double matted and framed with an uncommon original Cecil Stoughton (Kennedy official White House photographer) wire photo of Kennedy watching his young children dance in the Oval Office, to an overall size of 19 x 19.5. In fine overall condition, with black margin cropping added to image. The significance of the postmarked date of November 22, 1950 on the JFK FDC is considerable—sadly on that same day thirteen years later Kennedy would be assassinated. A very presentable tribute to one of America’s most recognizable, and respected, families.
