Scarce original 'Texas Welcome’ program for a dinner and an event honoring President John F. Kennedy and Vice President Lyndon B. Johnson at Austin’s Civic Auditorium on November 22, 1963, 14 pages, 8.5 x 11, listing the speakers for the event, biography pages with images, a list of the Texas Congressional Delegation, and various sponsors. In fine condition.

President Kennedy was en route to the Dallas Trade Mart when shots rang out over Dealey Plaza on November 22, 1963. That evening, he was scheduled to speak at the 'Texas Welcome' dinner, a fundraiser organized by the State Democratic Executive Committee on the final stop of the president's tour of Texas. With the president assassinated, neither event would take place.
