President John F. Kennedy Handwritten Notes Prior to November 2, 1962 National Security Council Meeting. Historically significant notes on the Cuban Missile Crisis: "Indo-China / Why—What is build up Cuba? / What would have been
strategic effect on U.S. deterrent if Russia had been successful?"

President Kennedy's handwritten notes prior to a meeting of the National Security Council Executive Committee on Nov. 2, 1962 in the Cabinet Room at 11:05 a.m.. Kennedy was "anxious" to get answers about Cuba because he was going to make a national TV-Radio statement on Cuba at 5:30 in the afternoon (according to contemporaneous transcript). Kennedy is questioning if intelligence on a buildup in Indo-China is intended for Cuba and rhetorically wanting to know where they would be today if Khruschev had not blinked first and taken down the missiles in Cuba. Great content.
