Three documents annotated by Kennedy as president:

Statement by the President, Aug. 1, 1962: The Foreign Assistance Act of 1962: ""I have today signed S. 2996, the Foreign Assistance Act of 1962." President Kennedy gets members of the Congress of both parties "To understand that it is our national obligation and in our interest.... In addition continued participation in the Alliance for Progress was given specific statutory recognition." Outstanding content.

Typed letter draft to Senator Thomas J. Dodd, Aug. 6, 1962, annotated in Kennedy's hand as president. Kennedy was "disturbed" upon hearing that Dodd wanted to see him and was unsuccessful.

White House memorandum to Air Force Sec't Eugene Zuckert, Aug. 27, 1962: President Kennedy questions Zuckert on how a conversation between him and McNamara wound up in TIME Magazine. Instead of focusing on how the quote got into TIME more importantly President Kennedy asks "I would be interested in having your suggestions as to how we can improve the tone and pace of our [space] program."
