President Kennedy pencil notes on Defense Jan. 8, 1963 on white lined loose leaf page, with transcript: Notes on defense made by President Kennedy during a bipartisan legislative leaders' meeting on the evening of Jan. 8, 1963. The meeting took place, interestingly enough, after JFK, LBJ, and Peter Lawford had spent the morning yachting on the Honey Fitz in Palm Beach, Florida, capping off President Kennedy’s 1963 New Year's vacation. 1963 Defense topics discussed in this meeting questioned continued Moscow and Havana relationship, student group squatters, sabotage, seige, missiles, and 4 mobile ground units were also noted by President Kennedy. Historically significant content with some of President Kennedy’s thoughts on these matters.
