He was awarded the Navy Cross for heroism in Korea and to this day remains the Marine Corps' only jet aircraft ace. Japanese occupation ten dollar note, 6.25 x 3, signed in the top border in black ink, “John F. Bolt, Black Sheep Squadron/Vella La Vella 1943.” In fine condition.
