The lock plate is signed "Cupper / VC" and the top barrel flat is signed "John Drisbach". Fixed sights on an octagon rifled barrel that gauges at approximately .58 caliber. The ramrod pipes, trigger guard, side plate, crescent buttplate, and patch box are brass. The elaborate monogrammed patch box is finely engraved and has unique bird shaped hardware. (The initials are W.M.?) The full length stock has four barrel wedges with silver escutcheons, silver crescent moon inlay on the cheekpiece, silver thumb escutcheon, and a brass forend cap. Incised carving around the cheekpiece and upper tang with a light incised carving on the forearm. Complete with a hickory ramrod. Appears to be an early production late 18th Century Kentucky.
