This is an exceptionally scarce original John Deere Farm Implements 3-color porcelain enamel advertising sign. The circa 1912-1936 authentic sign shows the coveted 3-legged deer logo across the center. The sign shows loss to the porcelain a fold, and bullet holes, but is an increasingly rare sign with better condition exact dealer signs exceeding $7,500 at auction. The single sided sign is marked in the bottom right corner by the manufacture Veribrite Signs-Chicago. One of the most covered and valuable of any John Deere porcelain advertising sign. The logo showing the image of a deer having three legs jumping over a log from Moline, Illinois was used from circa 1912-1936 and was the second logo ever used. This logo pre-dates the other similar John Deere Porcelain sign with four legs and the three legged deer logo is believed to be the first John Deere logo used on a porcelain sign. The sign measures overall 24"H x 72"L.
