Attractive DS, signed “J. D. Rockefeller,” one page, 16 x 8, February 20, 1888. Brown stock certificate for 100 shares of Standard Oil issued to the International Navigation Company, signed at the bottom, as president of Standard Oil, by Rockefeller. In very good condition, with an embossed machine cancellation to signatures, slightly perforating paper, attached stub to edge of certificate, light overall toning, scattered creases and wrinkles, and previous storage folds. A desirable and uncommon example of a ‘brown’ stock certificate.
