English soldier and statesman (1650–1722) whose career spanned the reigns of five monarchs through the late 17th and early 18th centuries. Endorsement signed “Marlborough,” on the reverse of a one-page partly printed document, 7 x 14, dated April 1704. Document concerns the repayment of a one hundred pound loan. Endorsed on the reverse by Marlborough, dated December 12, 1704. In very good condition, with horizontal folds, and some scattered light toning and foxing.
