John Cafe, a pair of George III Corinthian column candlesticks, London 1774, 12" with presentation inscription to Captain William Fraser, 2nd July 1774, the gift of the Respodentia Senders and Underwriters on the late ship Lord Mansfield, (NB: The Lord Mansfield sank 17th December 1773 bound for Madras, she had a cargo of salt petre and the crew of 200 were all saved.) - see colour illustration.
