Mounted display with large photo and handwritten caption in another hand saying Burroughs is weeding in his garden at Riverby. It also says “Photograph by G. Clyde Fischer, May 30 1919.” Fischer was one America's most prominent astronomers and curator of the Hayden planetarium at the American Museum of Natural History. The two men were colleagues and friends. The gelatin silver photographic print has some surface wear and foxing, but the image is clear and detailed.
