c1818 An 8-page, paper covered booklet on the life and death of John Booth, (1818-1864), a native of York, England, who died in Austin. In his working life he had been a freight wagon driver, typesetter (for the Tombstone Epitaph in Tomstone AZ), publisher and proprietor of the Silver State at Unionville, Humboldt County, and for a time boss of the Carson Register and Pioche Record. In 1873 he bought a partnership in the Reese River Reveille, and then started the Belmont Courier. In 1877 he became sole proprietor of the Reveille upon the death of his partner. Rare. Condition is good, but very fragile. - HKA#64306
