Partly-printed DS, signed “John Belushi,” one page both sides, 8.25 x 11, October 18, 1974. American Guild of Variety Artists application extensively filled out by Belushi with his personal and professional information. In addition to signing at the bottom of both sides, Belushi also writes his name in print at the top. He notes that the name of his act is “Nat. Lampoon Show,” and that the last three places he worked were “Village Gate in ‘Lemmings,’ ‘The Second City’ Chicago, Chicago Blower Corp.” Matted and framed with a glass backing for viewing the reverse. In fine condition. At this time Belushi was working on The National Lampoon Radio Hour, which also featured the likes of Chevy Chase, Bill Murray, John DeBella, Gilda Radner, and Harold Ramis. It was during a 1974 trip to Toronto to check the local Second City cast that he met Dan Aykroyd, with whom he would form the famed Blues Brothers partnership. A rarely seen, highly desirable piece from early in Belushi’s career.
