ALS signed “J. Armstrong,” one page, 8 x 10, January 27, 1813. Handwritten letter to Major General Henry Dearborn, in full: "Let me request you to suspend the transportation of provisions from the Depots of Albany & Greenbush, untill you hear from me again—which shall be as soon as possible. Should the Campaign open, as it may, to the West, this suspension will be usefull. On any other supposition, it will do no harm, as there will still be time to transport them to Lake Champlain." Addressed on the integral leaf in Armstrong's hand, and franked, "Free, J. Armstrong." In fine condition, with a few small stains, and tiny binder holes along the hinge condition.
