In this 22 May 1800 document, Adams awards Brigadier General William Woodford 2,500 acres in Ohio between the ''Little Miami and Sciota Rivers'', with detailed stipulations of the land borders, running 14 lines of text detailing the various trees and landmarks. Countersigned by Charles Lee as ''executing the office'' of Secretrary of State. Original blindstamped seal is intact. Grant measures 13'' x 15'' and is matted and framed to an overall size of 19'' x 21''. One pronounced vertical fold and four lighter horizontal folds, else near fine. Creme-colored mat has some minor smudging to lower right, else fine.
