Eminent Viennese composer (1825–1899), aka the “Waltz King,” best known for such all-time favorites as “The Beautiful Blue Danube” and the “Emperor Waltz” and for the operetta staple, “Die Fledermaus.” Ink signature, “Johann Strauss,” on an off-white 4 x 2.5 card. Collector’s notation on reverse indicates signature was received on April 18, 1896. Uniform overall toning, otherwise fine condition.
