Handwritten lyrics to the Ramone’s song ‘Elevator Operator,’ on the inside of a deconstructed Alka-Seltzer Cold Medicine box. An early version of the song, Ramone writes out in blue ballpoint, “Gonna have a real cool time/everything gonna be real fine now/She said she like a roller coaster or a fun house/a toaster oven/ & now I ride the lift up almost every single day/just so I can be with her on yeah yeah yeah/Activities extra curricular/Everynite is just party party party.” In very good condition, with paper loss and some tears to edges and scattered toning and creasing. This unreleased song was written by Joey, with Richie Ramone handling the lead vocals. Provenance: Joey Ramone Estate. Accompanied by a letter of authenticity from the Joey Ramone Estate.
