Handwritten working lyrics to the Joey Ramone song ‘Don’t Worry About Me,’ unsigned, on three off-white sheets, two of which have printing on the front. Ramone writes out 40 lines of lyrics in ballpoint and felt tip, beginning (with grammar and spelling retained): “I want ya baby but you / always lie always complainin / ya make the tears fall from / my eyes I want ya baby.” The lyrics continue: “When I saw you I knew / that I wanted you / Baby your the kinda girl / that ya just can’t get / through ta / standing on the street corner by the club / in a mini skirt your the / kinda girl that ya just / can’t for[get].” Printing on the reverse of one of the pages is a fax of what appears to be ideas for several related television episodes starring Ramone, and mentions “takes a CPR course with Bootsy Collins,” “builds a jigsaw puzzle with Ronnie Spector,” and “cooks a meal with Peter Boyle.” Other page features a portion of an article about Joey. In fine condition, with paper loss to one corner. ‘Don’t Worry About Me’ was the final track on Ramone’s first solo album, which was released the year after his death. Accompanied by a letter of authenticity from the Joey Ramone Estate.
