Rosenthal responds to a request for his autograph: ''Dear Mrs. Markopoulos, Please forgive me for the long delay in signing your envelopes. They were mislaid somehow, and just found. My apologies for the delay, and I hope they are still useful to you. Sincerely, Joe Rosenthal.'' Letter on rice paper measures 8'' x 11''. Uneven left edge and light creasing, otherwise fine.
