On the reverse, Miller pens a quote from his poem, ‘The Voice of the Dove.’ He writes: “Come, listen love, to the voice of the Dove—Come hearken and hear him say’ ‘Many tomorrows, My love, My love, But only one Today.’ Joaquin Miller, Providence, R.I. Feb. 19th, 1899.” In fine condition, with some scattered light damp staining to reverse, not affecting legibility, as well as some scattered light toning.
