Latin text, the title of which translates to <I>The Birth of Medicine.</B></I> Helmont was an acolyte of the great chemist, physician, and occultist Paracelsus. Bound with <B><I>Opuscula Medica Inaudita</B></I></B></I> (Lyon, France: Joannis Baptistae Devenet, 1655), 192 pages plus Indexes. The book is in good condition, with noticeable wear to the aged leather and toning to the pages, which also displays minor wear at the edges.
