Grouping of ten TLSs, signed “Joan,” “J. C.,” and “Joan Crawford,” each one page, 426 North Bristol Avenue letterhead, dated between 1954 and 1960. Each letter is addressed to Anita Ticktin. The earliest, dated October 29, 1954, in part: “I am so happy to be able to tell you that I will be in production very soon. We have completed wardrobe fittings for ‘Female on the Beach’…Jeff Chandler has the male lead. I just love making pictures so you can imagine how excited and happy I am”; another letter, dated October 9, 1958, in part: “I am appearing on Bob Hope’s television show on October 14th, and we are starting rehearsals tonight. It’s an amusing script, and we are having a barrel of fun already”; a letter dated November 14, 1958, in part: “I am going to film a ‘General Electric Theatre’ television show this month. We have a wonderful script so far, but my producer hasn’t cast it yet so I don’t know definitely who will be in it with me”; and another, November 6, 1959, in part: “I’ve been busy too, Anita, traveling for Pepsi-Cola, and recently I made a film for ‘Zane Grey Theatre’ for Dick Powell.” In overall fine condition.
