Baseball player (1870-1943) at the turn of the 20th century who was widely regarded as being the best third baseman of his time. Scarce vintage ink signature, “‘Sincerely yours’ Jimmy Collins, Oct. 5th 1939, 3rd B,” on a light yellow 4.5 x 6 album page. In fine condition, with two sets of punch holes along top edge, a central horizontal fold to page affecting nothing, and a bit of trivial toning. One of the scarcest Hall of Fame signatures.
