Vintage matte-finish 8 x 10 George Burke photo of Foxx at bat in a Boston Red Sox road jersey, signed and inscribed in fountain pen “Patsy, You are a swell guy. The best to you. Jimmie Foxx.” Upper and lower left corner creases, scattered soiling, few stray ink marks, brush to the word “best,” and silvering to the darker areas, otherwise fine condition. The image bears rounded corners, as issued by Burke. Larger signed images of the Hall of Famer—particularly those taken by a noted sports photographer such as Burke—are virtually nonexistent.
