Vintage matte-finish George Burke photo of Jimmie Foxx at bat in a Boston Red Sox road jersey, signed and inscribed in fountain pen, ''Patsy, You are a swell guy / The best to you / Jimmie Foxx.'' 8'' x 10'' black and white photo is in very good condition, with small corner creases, a few stray ink marks, brush to the word ''best'' and silvering to the darker areas. The image bears rounded corners, as issued by Burke. Larger signed images of the Hall of Famer -- particularly those taken by a noted sports photographer such as Burke -- are virtually nonexistent. Accompanied by PSA/DNA COA.
