<B>Circa 1939 Baseball Autograph Album with Foxx, Klein.</B></I> A young girl's passion for baseball lives on today in the form of this charming leatherbound album featuring dozens upon dozens of signatures from the men who populated Major League Baseball just prior to the Second World War. Almost all are rendered in bold pencil, and grouped several to a page. Very rarely are backs of pages used, and no significant autographs "back up" to other noteworthy signatures. Among the highlights present within are Foxx, Kelly, Lopez, Stengel, Vaughan, Hartnett, Grove, Ruffing, Mize, Combs, Gomez, Joe DiMaggio, Ted Williams, Doerr, Frisch, Klein, Simmons, Berg and more. A contemporary Bucky Walters cut signature is stuck inside the pages as well. Terrific "break down" value here, though it would be a bit of a shame to dismantle this childhood project. The exterior leather covers show loving wear but the volume remains solid and complete with nothing that could rightfully be termed "damage."
